She’s a tough one to surprise. But somehow Chris was able to pull off the surprise of Meliza’s life when they walked the steps to the top of a castle in Germany, he got down on one knee, and stated those magic words. Across the world, their fairy tale continues next summer on the sands of Mexico where they will commit to each other amongst family and friends.

I (Laura) have known Matt for years… it’s one of those stories that we always laugh about…. he is my mother’s best friend’s son’s best friend… anyways, a long time! A few years ago he met this sweet girl named Jeriel, and last fall we had the pleasure of photographing him asking for her hand in marriage. There is something so special about being a part of such a sacred moment that is marked as one of the most memorable days of someone’s life.

Fast forward a few months, their engagement session followed the steps of their first date starting with drinks at Sbicca in Del Mar, to the bench where they watched the waves at Sea Grove Park. We ended the evening at Torrey Pines beach for sunset, and in a few months we’ll see them say ‘I do’ in an intimate backyard wedding at her parents’ estate. We are so happy you’ve found each other and it’s been so fun watching your relationship progress. Thank you for inviting us to be a small piece of it!
