Engaged // Cami + Kelsey

As they both moved into their prospective houses on the beach as students at USD, little did they know that the person they would open their door to say hello to would be the person they shared a door with for the rest of their lives.
Kelsey and Cami decided to walk the halls of USD and the sand of Mission Beach for their engagement session to capture the memories they had together in their dating years. And no need to say it made for some beautiful moments. Can’t wait to capture their La Jolla wedding next year!

Baby Theo

Oh Baby Theo!! I got to photograph your big sister a few years ago, so what a pleasure it was so capture you as this little nugget. You are so loved, and have a great big sister to teach you everything she knows. Congrats Ashley and Jeff on this handsome little man!!

The Poole Family

It’s always an honor when someone comes from out of town and finds us to photograph their family. I was so excited to meet Sarah and her two little beauties last week. Some fun on the playground and sand was definitely had by all!! Hope you enjoyed beating that Arizona heat and hope to see you all next summer!!

Kennedy Blaire 5.27.16

Kennedy what a wonderful world you have ahead of you! We are so thankful for your beautiful parents that we have been able to capture their love story that you’ve been born into. Brenda and Kasey, welcome to your best year yet. What love this little one will bring you. Your hearts will open, bleed, and grow like you’ve never known.

These sessions just never, ever get old. Precious moments that are far too fleeting. Welcome Kennedy Blaire!

Wrightsville Beach // May 2016

As much as we can, we make the trip to Wrightsville Beach to see Clay’s grandparents in North Carolina, not a bad place to visit! Tanner had his first taste of this beautiful place and met his Great Grandparents this week!!

And since having the boys, we’ve made a point to pull out the Sunday clothes (not gonna lie, poor Tanner is in pajamas more than he is not) and jaunt down to the beach for some “nice” photos. I (Laura) made the trip without Clay this time (not without the help of my wonderful mother, Tucker and Tanner’s Nana – Thank you!! We would not have made it without you and you made the trip so much fun!) So our typical photo shoot turned into a “hurry sunset is coming!” and a rush-to-get-to-the-beach only to be rained out not 10 minutes later. But as I’m going through photos from the week, I’m so much more in love with every other photo that captures sweet moments of my boys with their Great Grandparents in this special place. These are the moments I want to remember when I am 85 and 89 (the age of Great Grandma and Pop Pop). Every little smile and smirk, lazy mornings waking up with Grandma’s sweet laugh, fishing but not catching any fish with Pop Pop,  watching my boys play on the same deck Clay grew up on and lay their head on the same pillow he laid his. I never knew my grandparents, so I am so thankful my boys have the joy of not only their own grandparents, but GREAT grandparents. What a blessing and treasure.

Here’s a little snapshot of our week.

My favorites from the week before heading to the airport… because life is about the love of family even with your messy hair, stickers on your cheeks, car in your hand, and tennies on your feet. And of course pajamas 🙂
