San Diego Newborn Photographer // Baby Everly

Oh these sessions. My heart swoons. Every. Single. Time.

I say it over and over again but the joy that photographing a first born gives me is out of this world. The fingers you longed to count, the hair you waited to stroke, the little body you yearned to hold on in your arms.

That baby is here. And for the first time in your lifetime, your heart is living outside your chest.

These moments are why I photograph. These are the moments you’ll look back on with happy tears, knowing just how exhausted you were, you’ll remember how your body raced with all the post-partum emotions and the extra belly skin that just held your baby. The days (and nights) were so long, but this time was so fleeting. It was so precious. For me, to be a part of this time is such an honor.

Welcome Sweet Everly. You are so loved. Thank you Taylor and Aimee for letting me in to your new world. <3

Mike + Lisa // Carlsbad Flower Fields Wedding

What a beautiful fall day to celebrate Mike and Lisa! Fall weddings in San Diego are here, and this was an absolutely gorgeous September day at the Flower Fields.

So many sweet details that were lovingly created by Lisa’s family that gave their wedding an intimate feel. From the ring box, lawn games, and table centerpieces, not one detail was left untouched by family.

The night ended dancing under the twinkle lights in front of the barn after margaritas and tacos. So happy for you Lisa and Mike, honored to have captured your day!!

Carlsbad Family Photos // Leo Carrillo Ranch + Allem Family

Leo Carrillo Ranch is a little gem in Carlsbad. Whenever we get to shoot here I get so excited – so many sweet spots to photograph, and some pretty peacocks that are always fun (especially for kids!) to incorporate as well! We’ve been photographing this sweet family since their oldest daughter Juli’s birth. Watching a family grow is such an honor. Here’s a peak into their most recent session!

Because everyone needs to get their wiggles out sometimes!! Photographing families with littles always means taking breaks to let kids be kids. And these are also some of my favorite photos of our own kids. Do I allow (and often recommend) bribing for those posed formal shots in sessions? Yes absolutely! You’re paying good money for your session!

But the posed photos go hand in hand and are often a compliment to the sweet moments of your littles enjoying each other, enjoying you, running, jumping, smiling, and doing what they do best – play!

Newborn Lifestyle // Baby Elliott

One of the biggest joys I have photographing newborns is watching a family grow. 4.5 years ago I met the Saunders family as they welcomed their first bundle, Greyson. Since then we’ve watched him grow through our lens, and now he’s a big brother! Welcome to the world sweet Elliott, you have the sweetest parents and a big brother who is sure to show you all his tricks!

Check out this adorable little chunk!! He’s 4 weeks old, and while I like to photograph newborns within the first 2 weeks after birth, that didn’t keep us from capturing some sweet moments, as well as some sleepy ones too. This stage, while exhausting, is so precious. Love being able to capture this time for my families. Especially mamas, it can be a whirl of a fog for sure. I guarantee booking a newborn lifestyle session is an investment that will return on your heart strings for decades to come.
